The Hodgson family is proud to announce our 5 th
Annual George T. Hodgson, Jr.
Memorial Golf Tournament. Last year was a great success, and a
wonderful time was had by all. The 2006 tournament set a new record
in donations. Our players and guests from previous years came back again with
more friends. Thankfully, some of our Boston sports teams donated
prizes for our silent auction, which were very well received. The
planning for our annual golf tournament goes on all year and it has
been a wonderful activity for our whole family to be involved with.
This year our tournament will be
held on Friday, May 18th

Golf Links, Candia, NH,
www.candiawoods.com. So once again, please join us for a great day
of fun. We always strive to make each year’s tournament even better
than the last year’s tournament. Create your own team or be assigned
to one. More prizes, fun holes, delicious luncheon & the traditional
great time.

Once again our tournament will raise funds for both
Hallmark Health Hospice and York Hospital. Hallmark Health Hospice
is a wonderful organization that assists patients and their families
when a loved one is nearing the end of life’s journey. The care for
George was outstanding. Our donation was used for alternative
therapies such as therapeutic massage and Reiki therapy with their
Hospice patients. These therapies assist the patients in relaxation,
symptom management and pain control. Since insurance does not cover
these modalities they look forward to donations such as ours to
provide these services.
York Hospital is a non-profit hospital located in
York Maine. The care they provided to Michelle M. Hodgson was
wonderful. The money donated to them was used to offer some special
healing activities for their patients and care givers. Last fall,
they offered workshops “Hands to Work, Art to Heal.” They intend to
write a grant in order to keep this program available for others in
the future.
